Design Technology

 Mrs Mackey, who teaches in Year 2,  is now Subject Lead for Art and Design and Design Technology, taking over this year from Miss Tormey.

Art and Design and Design Technology  are important to us at St Mary's as we are surrounded by beautiful art and amazing design! We love to explore a range of artists and designers from different periods, cultures and gender. We hold art and DT weeks, where we surround ourselves in the work of a particular artist or designer, or a particular medium or movement. We love to fill our school with art, with our walls filled with photographs, images and  current masterpieces produced by our fantastic children in school.

We have been lucky to host artists and designers, visit galleries and marvel at the work around us!
