School Uniform 
The uniform consultation to parents is currently being collated. The new Government mandate that 3 branded items is the maximum to include in Primary uniform means that changes are in place, with further adaptations to be phased in using the consultation results over a 12 month period.
St Mary's has several branded items, some of which were optional, therefore several changes need to be made.
In this transition period, we suggest that the 3 items of uniform that are branded are:
- Jumper OR cardigan according to preference with school badge
- PE hoody with school badge
- If wearing the pinafore OR skirt, this is one branded item due to the tartan.
- If wearing shorts or trousers, the badged polo top could be a third branded item, alternatively if wearing a plain white shirt, the PE top badged could be a third item.
Any ties / cravats/ PE tops / polo tops/ headbands that the uniform suppliers still have in stock are not compulsory elements of uniform with the new 3 branded item rule. We know many parents chose to have them but they are absolutely not compulsory in school.
At St Mary's we live out our Mission and support our families through our Preloved Uniform collection in the entrance also.
We understand the cost of living currently is high for everyone, and we have lots of uniform in our preloved collection in the entrance of school. We have nearly new pinafores, skirts, jumpers and cardigans, as well as ties and cravats, plus headbands. Stock will always fluctuate, but it's important we all re-use items to give our children the best of experiences in other areas of life, and to protect our planet! Please email bursar or head if you'd like to come down and look, call in during school time and always talk to us and we can source items for families.
Our uniform consists of:
- School logo knitted v-neck jumper or cardigan (school logo)
- White shirt (long or short sleeves) - non branded
- Grey trousers/ shorts - non branded/ checked skirt/ checked pinafore (the check is branded)
- Grey/ black/ white socks or tights
- Black school shoe

PE Kit
Children come to school in their PE kits on their PE days, this saves valuable lesson time and ensures that the children get their full lessons doing their learning and activities.
Our PE kit consists of:
- Blue School Logo PE Hoodie
- Blue School Logo PE Top - not essential - a blue PE top without logo is fine.
- Plain (no logos/ stripes or badges) black/ navy Leggings/ PE shorts/ Joggers
- Trainers
In the summer term and in Autumn 1, children can wear summer uniform. The striped dresses are not branded, however the school polo tops are. There is no obligation to have a school polo top, although for those wearing grey shorts / trousers, the jumper, polo and PE hoody are just 3 branded items.
Please ensure the children are not wearing jewellery for school and stud earrings must also be removed for PE lessons.
Label your uniform!!
