Pupil Premium

We have few Pupil Premium children at St Mary's, therefore it is important to ensure the funding is used very carefully for those children. It is important that Pupil Premium funding is targeted to close the gap between children within school and nationally, therefore we analyse data and observe the children closely to identify our needs particular to St Mary's. We want all of our children to have self belief and a growth mindset to work with others and find solutions to learn, overcome obstacles and happily explore the world and all it has to offer. Our Vision and Mission run through our Pupil Premium as explained in our statement.

For all of our children we are passionate about high aspirations, and giving them experiences that enthuse and inspire them to further education and experiences; that their Faith as small as a mustard seed can indeed move mountains. So the Pupil Premium funding is for that, to ensure our PP children have the foundations 'levelled up'. Whilst we also look for experiences that our children will remember forever, and that may inspire their future, such as visits and visitors - Mayoral Parlour, WEC, Museum of Science and Industry, Parliament and London, Deershed Festival Schools Day, Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery, The University of Central Lancs, Brockholes, a visit from an ex England Women's Goalkeeper and TV commentator, trips to see Dermot O'Leary and Matt Lucas discuss their books, visits from authors from our own parent community, chefs who work in 5 star restaurants, musicians, poets and many more!
