Music is important to us at St Mary's in everything we do. We are steeped in music from assemblies to music in our classrooms, our lessons and additional lessons from Lancashire Music Service also. We listen to all manner of genres from different times and genders and share our musical interests and passions with each other.

We all had so much fun celebrating our music week! We had a whole-school music worship session with Mike Anderson on Monday. On Thursday, Jo and Tana brought in a variety of musical instruments, including: a violin, viola, saxophone, clarinet, flute and a piano. We listened to the sounds that the instruments made and discussed the pitch and dimensions of the sounds. On Friday, the children came to school dressed as music icons from the past; we had such an amazing variety!
